Costs and Sources of Funding:
- Depends greatly on the model. Wireless could be rolled out on behalf of individual groups, or could be deployed in a larger way as a separate fee-based cost recovery service.
- Typical deployment costs: $1700 per access point, serving up to about 10 people within 100 feet. Typical cost for reasonable coverage in a Penn building might be between $40,000 and $90,000 depending on a number of parameters.
