Special Computer Connection Offerings for Fall

September 8, 2004 :: Chris Horrocks, Computer Connection

The Back-To-School Computer Sale continues through this Friday, September 10. The Back-To-School Sale offers the deepest discounts of the year, making it a great opportunity for incoming and returning students to get a computer for school. It's also a great opportunity for faculty and staff to upgrade their office and home systems, too! (After 9/10, Back-To-School Sale computers will be available on a "while supplies last" basis.)

The Computer Connection is now taking orders for the new Apple iMac G5. The iMac G5, with a new space-saving form factor, includes a 17- or 20-inch widescreen display and a speedy G5 processor. It is available in three standard configurations. (A fourth configuration, which does not include an optical drive, can be purchased by special order. Contact Ray Bonikowski for details at raymondb@pobox.upenn.edu.)

Most colors of the Apple iPod mini are in-stock at the Computer Connection at the time of this writing. For the first time in recent months, you can walk out of the store with an iPod mini without having to place an order!

In response to requests for the most recent technology available from Dell, a configuration of the new OptiPlex GX280 desktop system is now available for order. The GX280 incorporates Intel's most recent Pentium 4 processor and logic board chipset and includes a 4-year warranty. you can learn more by viewing the full specifications of the Dell OptiPlex GX280 Administrative System.

To view configurations and prices online, be sure to have your PennKey and password handy to log in. Remember, you must be a full-time student, faculty, or staff member of the University of Pennsylvania, or a full-time staff member of UPHS, to be eligible to purchase items through the Computer Connection.
