Information Systems & Computing Ranks #9 Nationally,
#1 in the Mid-Atlantic Region in Computerworld’s 100 Best Places to Work Survey

July 1, 2006 :: Shirley Ross, Information Systems & Computing

Information Systems & Computing placed #1 in the Mid-Atlantic Region and #9 nationally in Computerworld Magazine’s 100 Best Places to Work in IT survey. This is the second consecutive year that Computerworld has recognized ISC as one of the top 10 places to work. This is not just about ISC but very much about Penn’s strong benefit and HR programs that provide the information and flexibility to help employees balance work and personal responsibilities. Computerworld uses a rigorous selection process that includes completion of a 100-question employer survey on categories such as career development, training, retention, work assignments, diversity, pay and benefits, and recognition programs, as well as that indefinable “something” usually referred to as “workplace culture.” In addition, approximately 40% of ISC employees, randomly selected, completed a web-based survey that went directly to a third party research firm. Other companies that Computerworld ranked among the Best Places to Work include University of Miami, General Mills, FedEx, Marriott, Vanguard, LL Bean, Honeywell, and Pfizer.
