StarRez Streamlines Housing Process

May 27, 2011 :: Shirley Ross, ISC

ISC implemented a new self-service housing project, called StarRez, for admitted freshmen students to apply for housing. StarRez, a collaboration between ISC and Business Services, was a complete overhaul of the previous system. Within two days of the March 30 release 603 freshmen had started the housing application process, with 109 applications completed. To date, 2421 freshman and 370 new grad students have completed applications. The housing application process opened on May 10th for exchange students and on May 12th for transfer students. Later releases will provide similar services to returning students and provide tools for House Deans for the selection/monitoring of new assignments. Housing results will be announced to students starting June 4. For more information, please contact Renee Jordan at
